Betsy Kaplan Award - 2021

Picture
First awarded in 2002, the Betsy Kaplan Award was created by the St Lawrence Republican Executive Committee in honor of the late Betsy Kaplan, of Potsdam.  It is bestowed by the Executive Committee in honor of Mrs Kaplan in recognition of long and faithful service to the St Lawrence Republican County Committee.
Donald Gruneisen was selected as this year's recipient of the prestigious Betsy Kaplan Award. Don currently serves as the Republican County Committee's Treasurer, is a Regional Chairman and Potsdam Republican Town Chairman.  Don was introduced to politics in the 1980s and has been an activist since. If you lived in Potsdam in the 80s and you were Republican, you knew Betsy Kaplan - and Don had the good fortune to know Betsy.

When the award was presented to Don on 8/29/2021, Jacob Shaver from the Office of Congresswoman Elise Stefanik also presented him with the congresswoman's entry to the Congressional Record of the first session of the 117th Congress, further honoring him for receiving the   prestigious award.

Congratulations, and our deepest thanks, Don!
