2022 - Mark Walczyk - NY State Senate District 49

At the St Lawrence County Committee Meeting, which was held at the at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Canton, NY, the full Committee unanimously endorsed Mark Walczyk for New York State Senator.
A PROVEN FIGHTER
Since being elected to serve in the State Legislature, Mark Walczyk has been a voice of reason in Albany. He is a Republican fighter with conservative principles who fights for families, calls out corruption, promotes the economy as well as the future of our region and defends the Constitution.
A DEVOTED PUBLIC SERVANT
Soon after graduating from the University of Albany, Mark began a career in public service with a focus on statewide policy and desire to improve life for residents of Upstate New York. Mark joined the staff of state Senator Patty Ritchie in 2011 where his passion for constituent services first emerged. In 2015, Mark was elected to the Watertown City Council, a nonpartisan council.
As an assemblyman, Mark has helped to cultivate an environment for job creation in Northern New York. He has proven to be committed to investing in aging infrastructure all while protecting our precious rivers and lakes. He remains a strong proponent of policy that empowers teachers and gives students the opportunity to be successful in job preparation training at the secondary and collegiate levels.
Mark is the ranking Republican member on the Committee on Higher Education. Mark is a member of the following: Committee on Cities, Committee on Correction, Committee on Energy, Committee on Social Services, Committee on Transportation, and Committee on Rural Resources.
In addition to his dedication to the Empire State, Mark Walczyk has proudly served in the armed forces as a commissioned engineer officer in the United States Army Reserve since 2012.

Mark attends New Life Christian Church. He and his wife, Jessica, live in Watertown with their son Atticus, and their dog Alfred.
He is a member of the Watertown noontime Rotary Club, the NRA, American Legion Post 61, the Italian American Civic Association, Friends of the MAC Nature Center, the Frederic Remington Art Museum, and a number of other organizations.
